Top 30 the most beautiful national parks in the world
The American TV channel CNN made a selection of 30 most beautiful national parks in the world. The criterion by which parks were evaluated were the nature beauty and the picturesqueness of places, the safety and local residents hospitality. The TV channel noticed that US parks have been never ranked before.
The first place was given to the National Park of the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. It is believed that the tropical nature waterfalls surrounded on the Iguazu River is one of the most beautiful and spectacular places on Earth. (Photo: REUTERS / Jorge Adorno).
The second place was taken by the National Park Los Glaciares in Argentina. 30 percent of the park is covered with ice, so it is also called the glacier park in Patagonia. (Photo: 123 RF).
The third place: another National Park in Argentina called Nahuel-Uapi, which is located in the Andes at an altitude of 767 meters above sea level. (Photo: 123 RF).
Number four in the ranking is Gandoka-Manzanilla National Reserve in Costa Rica.
Fifth place in the ranking took the Tikal National Park in Guatemala. It includes one of the largest and most famous archaeological sites in the world - the most important center of the Mayan Tikal civilization. (Photo: 123 RF).
Number six goes to Rapa Nui National Park, which is located on Easter Island (Chile) and is famous for its stone sculptures, the so-called moai. It is believed that this is the most geographically remote inhabited island in the world. (Photo: 123 RF).
The seventh place is taken by Torres del Paine National Park, located in the Chilean part of Patagonia. According to scientists, the park is 11 million years old. (Photo: 123 RF).

Ninth place: Galápagos National Park in Ecuador. The famous Galapagos turtles, for which gave the islands received the name of, are the long-liver record holders among the animals; they can live more than two hundred years. (Photo: 123 RF).

Number sixteen refers to Namib-Naukluft National Park in Namibia. Its area is almost 50 thousand square kilometers, most part of it aer deserts, and it is believed to be one of the largest protected areas in the world. (Photo: 123 RF).

Twenty-third place: Pagsanjan-Gorge National Park in the Philippines. It includes the largest waterfalls of the country. According to legend, before the waterfalls appeared there were two twins living in this place. Once, after a severe drought, one of them died, and then the second twin climbed to the high rocks and began to curse the gods, when suddenly a source sprang from under his feet, which laid the foundation for the waterfalls.
